Dr.
Guangming Shi was born in Jiangxi, China. He received the
B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering from Xidian
University, Xi'an, China, in 1985, the M.S.
degree in Signal Circuits & System, major in Computer
Control from Xidian University, Xi'an, China, in 1988,
and the Ph.D. degree in the Electronic Engineering from Xidian University, Xi'an, China, in 2002. From 1994 to 1996, he was a research assistant in
the department of Electronic Engineering at the
University of Hong Kong. From June to December in 2004, he
studied in the Department of Electronic Engineering at UIUC.
Since
2003, Dr. Guangming Shi has been a Professor in the School
of Electronic Engineering at Xidian University, Xi'an,
China. His research interest focuses on intelligent signal and
information processing, including
Multirate
Filter Bank, Wavelet and Applications, Non-linear Signal
Processing and Applications and the
Realization of Algorithm
for Intelligent Signal Processing (using DSP&FPGA).
