Introduction
The National Key Laboratory for Radar Signal Processing
was founded by government investment in Xidian University in 1991. The
laboratory is dedicated to basic research in radar signal processing.
The Lab has over 40 members, including 12 professors or associate professors,
16 of them with Ph.D. or Master's degree. Professor Bao Zheng, a member
of the Chinese Academy of Science, is the director of academic committee.
In addition, more than 80 postgraduate students are working toward Ph.D.
or Master's degrees at the Lab. The Lab is China's signal & information
processing and circuit & system key base for research and teaching.
It sponsors a doctoral program and a post-doctoral research center. Of
our graduates, 37 doctors and 60 masters have been praised and appreciated
in their positions. The Lab has various advanced instruments and equipment
used in signal generating analyzing, testing and acquisition, a first-class
electronic system design means, as well as an excellent working environment.
It is an ideal place to carry out scientific research and study signal
and information processing.
Research
Since its establishment, the National Key Lab
has been researching widely and deeply in the signal and information processing
area, and has completed more than 20 important scientific research tasks.
At present, the Lab's research projects come from the National Ninth Five
-Year Plan Predictive Research Projects,"863" High Technology
Project, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and other institutes
and factories, totaling more than 20 projects.
Research Interests
The main study areas include adaptive radar signal
processing, space-time signal processing, array signal processing, target
recognition and radar imaging, artificial neural network and wavelet theory
and their applications, high speed parallel algorithm and electronic design
automation (EDA), etc. The Lab is open to outside researchers and academic
exchanges. Cooperative research is warmly welcomed.

Introduction
The National Key Laboratory of Antennas and Microwave
Technology (LAM) was founded by government investment in 1992. It consists
of two branches, Xi'an Branch (located in Xidian University) and Nanjing
Branch (located in Nanjing Research Institute of Electronics Technology).
The Xi'an Branch of the LAM is dedicated to fundamental research for crucial
topics in the antennas and the microwave realm. The Xi'an Branch has 29
staff members, including 19 Professors or Associate Professors, and 10
persons with a Ph.D. degree. The Xi'an Branch is a key base in China for
researching and teaching in antennas and microwave techniques. It sponsors
two doctoral programs and a postdoctoral research center. Currently, 2
post-doctorates, 38 Ph.D. candidates and 37 postgraduate students are
studying in the Xi'an Branch. In recent years, 27 doctorates and 48 master's
who graduated from here have been praised and appreciated in their positions.
The Xi'an Branch of the LAM is open to promising scholars at home and
abroad. Academic exchanges and cooperation are warmly welcome!
Equipment
The Xi'an Branch is well equipped for research
across a broad spectrum of electromagnetic engineering. Facilities include
advanced HP and Wiltron instruments, near-field measurement system, and
a number of networked workstations and fabrication shops. Characterized
by an active research atmosphere, the Xi'an Branch provides scholars with
a good research environments and rich opportunities. It is an ideal place
to carry out scientific research and to study in electromagnetics.
Achievements
Since its establishment, the Xi'an Branch has
made great progress in the area of antennas and microwave techniques,
and has completed more than 20 important scientific research projects.
The achievements include 2 National Scientific and Technology Progress
Awards, 9 Ministry or Province Awards, and 2 Patents. Moreover, over ten
books and more than 300 academic papers have been published at home and
abroad in recent years. At present the Xi'an Branch's research projects
come from the National Predictive Research Program, "863" High
Technology Program, National Natural Science Foundation, and other research
organizations.
